Soda blasting is a broad term to describe a number of different processes used in the restoration of brick buildings, concrete, stone, motor vehicles, boat hulls and all metals.
The soda blasting process will clean almost any surface, which has been eroded by the elements over the years or has been damaged by mankind.
Originally fine partials of sand (sand grits) where used as an abrasive blasting media, today this is no longer the case as there are more sophisticated biodegradable and recyclable media, which is also environmentally friendly and much safer for the operator to use.
We use a variety of media across our cleaning projects, such as aluminium oxide, white aluminium oxide (reduces metal contamination), corn cob (biodegradable), glass beads (can be recycled up to 30 times), crushed glass grit (100% recycled bottle glass), garnet, olivine, pumice (ideal for soft wood to remove paint and coatings with no impact on the substrate), walnut shell grit (organic media) and silicon carbide grit.
All ( soda blasting) abrasive media used by Tramblast can safely be used across most domestic, industrial and metal restoration projects such as, home renovation, heritage buildings restoration, bridges, aircraft industry, the gas industry, marine, environmental projects, motor vehicles, plant and machinery and the oil and petro chemicals industries.
